not that we need an excuse, but debauchery ensued last night and i’m blaming it on the overall mayhem fashion week brings to this town.  i ate at koi (in the bryant park hotel) early on and the waverly inn later, both of which were epic in my book.  there is a mushroom and truffle ravioli at the waverly inn that will CHANGE YOUR LIFE.  it was probably the closest thing to a religious experience i’ve had in a long time.

simyone lounge was one of the many spots we hit last night, and it was tons of fun until “the situation” showed up with his entourage in tow.  they started setting up shop at the table next to us and the situation was we had to leave.  immediately.  (this douchebaggery definitely qualifies as your hot mess of the day, btw.) we made our way to provacateur, somewhere sure to be jersey-shore-cast-member-free.  i’ve got to say, i like what they’ve done with the place.  i’m pretty sure they have yet to stage their official opening, but it wasn’t bad for a soft opening.  who doesn’t love house music, sexy people, and high end lingerie clad go-go dancers?

tonight is no night for house though.  i’m bumping new hip hop while i work tonight, and i’ve gotta shed some light on a duo i’ve recently become a huge fan of: chiddy bang.  i discovered them the same way i discover a lot of next level artists- on kanye’s blog.  their single is called “opposite of adults” and it samples mgmt’s “kids”.  i find it extremely rare that a dope song has an equally dope video to match, but they’ve got it covered.  check it out HERE.  (as soon as i get my video glitch fixed i will post the actual video!)
