i hit up cv tuesdays at the hotel on rivington as well as rando below gallery bar tonight.  there were some fun ones out tonight!  and some amazing dj’s!  i think i might spin a party below gallery bar in a week or so.  it’s always amazing to see people out even when the weather’s nasty…just goes to show how die hard we are about supporting good music, talented dj’s, and a fun time!

earlier today i was checking out an old interview with jay-z on centerstage that was done just after the black album came out.  once the whole video plug-in situation gets taken care of on the site i will be able to post the videos, but at least you can check out the first part HERE. the 2nd part. the 3rd part. and the 4th part too.  kanye’s blog also has a dope video about the making of the song “hardknock life”.  every interview i see of jay-z i have more respect for him and am in further awe of his story.  in the centerstage interview (which you should really watch!) he talks about how both his demo and clothing line were rejected, and he had to start both from scratch himself.  it’s so inspiring because it just goes to show you IT CAN BE DONE, people!

here’s a hot mess of the day for you via gawker.  (or at least what i consider a hot mess.)  the newest in hollywood- PREHAB.  i can’t.  i just can’t be a part of this mess.  check out the article entitled “prehab is the new rehab” HERE.  i mean, it’s kinda funny, but if you really think about it- totally messed up.  there are people living in complete and utter squalor, well below the poverty line, and we’ve got people spending money on this.  how about some good old fashion self-discipline and self-control?  just saying…
