Official album art is on it’s way, but we just couldn’t wait to do a pre-launch of the latest DJ Kalkutta mix- Free.99.  (For now, enjoy the vintage Kalkutta shot- forever a fan of the color pink.)  This mix is the first in a series of mixes by Kalkutta called The Slumdog Trillionaire Series.  These mixes are unique in that the song selection reflects Kalkutta’s personal style, and instead of volumes (1, 2, 3, etc.), the Slumdog Trillionaire mixes increase in “value”, hence the first mix being titled ‘Free.99‘.  Kalkutta was actually born in the slums of India and lived in an orphanage there during her infancy until she was adopted, and is now living in Manhattan’s Upper East side- a long way from her humble beginnings, and well on her way to becoming the first real Slumdog Trillionaire.
